I had a dye stealer and had a missed miscarriage. Probably means a chemical is unlikely but a lot of miscarriages happen in 6-10 weeks. I was 10 weeks when I had my D&C. Baby stopped growing around 6 weeks. I don't honestly see why you would continue testing once you have a positive. A pregnancy test won't tell you anything about the health of an embryo or the progression of the pregnancy.
