Turn off the power to the fan. Locate the “reset” button on the older remote or the “learn” button on the newer remotes. These are usually small buttons located in the battery chamber of the remote. Press and hold the reset. Learn button for 10 seconds until the light comes on. Turn on the power back to the fan.
