Dr. Dalton and Billy. The first 2.3rds of the book and movie are very similar. The movie rushed the timeline a bit of course, but they were able to keep so much of the plot the same. One change though was Dr. Dalton. In the book he was a huge character! He was Abra’s family doctor, and Dan knows him from AA.
