The one in question, I believe, is a Dan Wesson Pointman. This is identifiable by the logos on the slide. CZ Dan Wesson's have the new serial coding and less logos. And yes the Pointman series uses the same new system. My Cbob is an '05 and my buddy's PM-7 is an '05 and has a similar serial number to mine. Hope that helps. Ryan
